Nurturing Little Hearts with Islamic Values, Knowing Them Better with Tech

Tadika Prestij Khalifah Sdn. Bhd. is an early childhood education institution that has been operating for 15 years. This kindergarten provides the Little Caliphs Programme, which is based on Islamic, English, and creative education. It has produced more than 5,000 graduates and provided employment opportunities for over 500 teachers. It is also the first kindergarten in Malaysia to utilize biometric analysis technology to determine the genetic personality, talents, potential, strengths, weaknesses, and best learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and digital) of children through biometric fingerprint tests.

“With no Islamic kindergarten nearby to send our children, the idea of building our own kindergarten emerged. My wife and I discussed opening an Islamic kindergarten while also having a passion for early childhood education. We were inspired to instill and nurture a love for Islamic teachings in children, incorporating daily practices of the Sunnah. At the same time, we use English as the medium of instruction,” said Tuan Haji Khairil Anwar B. Abdul Rahman.

“Challenges arose when parents did not align with early childhood education principles, and the younger generation did not prioritize careers as kindergarten teachers. Also, management costs increased, and the online environment exposed children to various risks. To address these challenges, we organized parenting seminars, created a positive work environment, streamlined company management for efficiency and competitiveness, and ensured that our curriculum and programs remained up-to-date.”

“I am deeply grateful and touched that our efforts over the past 15 years have been recognized and honored with the IDEA Award 2023,” he said upon receiving the award.

“My advice for starting a business is to choose something you are passionate about. Building a business requires a lot of effort, time, and patience. Growing organically is one of the best approaches. Additionally, always practice clear transactions and ensure that everything is halal and wholesome while fulfilling the rights of stakeholders.”

Tadika Prestij Khalifah aims to ensure that Islam is the foundation of education and teaching, tailored to each child’s personality. Thus, the kindergarten is not only a place for early education but also a center for positive growth for children in the community.
