MAPIM: Leading Zakat and Fostering ‘Khaira Ummah’ Entrepreneurship

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) is a non-governmental organization for Islamic religious organizations. MAPIM serves as a platform to coordinate, consult, and facilitate efforts to enhance the effectiveness of Islam.

“Alhamdulillah, the IDEA Award 2023 is an event that brings together all the warriors in the trade industry, and we often see that this industry is not associated with impactful struggles.”

(CD)(Dr) Sani Araby Al-Kahery received the award presented by Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Deputy Minister of Works, alongside Professor (Adj) UTHM Hj Adam Richman, Head Committee of IDEA Award 2023

“Upon reflection, we have realized that nine out of ten companions of the Prophet Muhammad were entrepreneurs. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad himself was an entrepreneur. Therefore, considering this, we understand that business needs to be understood as one of the Prophet’s traditions. The beauty of this business is a sign that Allah wants us to continue to seek from Him.”

“Successful Muslim entrepreneurs will not forget the ummah. This is essential in this journey, showing that the ‘big why’ has been shown very clearly.”

Hence, MAPIM aspires to stand out as one of the foremost contributors to zakat funds. Furthermore, they aim to play a pivotal role in creating employment opportunities for their own community. Moreover, they strive to embody the essence of being entrepreneurs who contribute positively to the welfare of society, embodying the concept of ‘Khaira Ummah’.
