Bumiputera Furniture Company Rebrands, Secures RM2 Millions Projects Under JKR
Meranti Marshal Sdn. Bhd. (MMSB) (formerly known as Meranti Furniture Sdn Bhd) is a Bumiputera furniture company established in 1989, supplying the domestic market with elegant and quality furniture. MMSB is also involved in interior design and installation work to meet the demands and needs of its customers.
MMSB’s factory is based in the Olak Lempit Furniture Complex, Banting, Selangor, with a built-up factory area of 152,460 square feet. Currently, it is equipped with facilities such as CNC metal cutting and woodworking machinery, CNC wood fabrication, tube and metal sheet fabrication, and automatic epoxy powder coating line. Some of MMSB’s well-known furniture products include office furniture, meeting room furniture, work desk furniture, and laboratory furniture.
After decades in the furniture manufacturing industry, Dato Pishal aims to expand the business into other industries. Therefore, MFSB has been renamed to MERANTI MARSHAL SDN BHD. This goal is achieved by securing building renovation projects under the Public Works Department (JKR) worth RM2 million, which will be completed within the next 2 years.
Meranti Marshal Sdn. Bhd. began operations by acquiring a government-contracted factory under the “Payung Gathurie” system. “As inspiration, I had a desire to venture into business and not rely on employment, aspiring to become a successful Muslim entrepreneur.”
